Robots learn to cook by watching YouTube
Researchers at the U.S. Department of Defense’s Advanced research agency and the University of Maryland are creating a type of robots that are able to learn through a system that translates the basic steps of cooking recipes on YouTube. According to NBC News, the new robots are called Baxter. They imitate the basic procedures by viewing and analyzing as they do on YouTube, where they learn how to grasp the tools and how to make cooking steps without having to program specifically to do so.
This method aims in the future to create a type of robots that are able to learn and imitate people by watching to do different processes without the need for their own system saving time and effort in various fields.
