Eating nuts reduces the risk of cancer
A recent U.S. study has revealed that eating nuts twice a week can significantly reduce the risk of severe pancreatic cancer. It was found through the findings of researchers that eating one ounce of nuts two or three times a week may reduce the likelihood More than one third of the disease.
The study, which was conducted at Harvard University’s School of Public Health in Boston, United States, did not distinguish between the different types of edible nuts, and indicated that their continued intake was more important than taking a particular type away from the other species.
The study, the results of which were recently published in the British Cancer Research Journal, provided some hope for ways to prevent the disease, which increases death rates.
Nearly 8,000 cases of pancreatic cancer are diagnosed in Britain every year. The pancreas is known to secrete enzymes that will help in the decomposition of nutrients and secrete insulin to control blood glucose levels.
